Artfact

Basic search is available for no charge upon registration. Extended access to additional data is available by subscription with rates starting at $7.95.

eBay
We find Ebay is one of the best way to find out the market value of an item. Press the SEARCH button at the top of the page, type in the name of the item, then press enter.

VERY IMPORTANT: Once the list of items matching your request appears, you will need to go the left hand side of the page and check off SOLD ITEMS. This will produce a list of prices actually realized (but be sure not to use an item for comparison that ended as a “No Sale” – this will be indicated by “0 bids”. If you wish to sort the list from highest price to lowest, there is “Sort By” option you can click. Be sure not to compare “apples to oranges”. For example, do not compare an item with chips or cracks to one in “mint condition”, and do not compare an item that does not have its original box to one that does. In the antique toy market, for instance, having the original box can raise the value of a toy by approximately 100 percent!

MASONIC COLLECTIBLES, FRATERNAL ORGANIZATIONS & IDENTIFICATION

Phoenix Masonry
This website is MASSIVE, but if you are looking for information about the Masons or almost any other fraternal organization in the world including Elks, Oddfellows, Civil War Orders such as GAR, Eagles, DAR, Jewish Orders, Moose, Railroad Orders, Turtles (yes, Turtles!), Boy Scouts and Fraternities & Sororities, Fireman or any other, than you MUST check out this sight. The site contains thousands of photos of medals, jewels, insignias, coins and other items associated with collectibles. A history is also given about most of the organizations.

The site seems to me to be divided into two basic areas: Masonic items and info & “Everyone Else”, so depending what you are looking for, you’ll head in one direction or the other. The site is a little difficult to navigate due to the size of the site, but be persistent and you’ll be glad you were! Just keep heading towards any links that read MUSEUM and you’ll get where you are going eventually. SO MUCH info I don’t know how they ever put it all together! You can easily spend a day searching this sight, probably even a week! It will be one you will surely want to add to your “Favorites”.
